Born Tshegetso Reabetswe Kungwane, The Big Hash is a South African rapper, singer, and songwriter. After his debut EP, DEVO, the Hash dropped out of school to focus on his music career; subsequently releasing The Big Hash Theory and Life + Times of a Teenage Influence, in 2017 and 2018 respectively, under independent label, innanetwav.

In 2019, The Big Hash made his album debut with the release of Young. The breakout single “Circles” debuted at number one on Apple Music, generating 1 million streams in its first week, nominations at the South African Hip-Hop Awards (SAHHA) and All African Music Awards (AFRIMA). In the same year, Hash became a global ambassador for international sports brand, adidas; becoming the youngest musician in South Africa to do so.

2019 also saw The Big Hash take part in BET’s Hip-Hop Cyphers which led to Sway Calloway’s selecting him to freestyle at the #ColdCyphers segment of the 2019 Castle Lite Unlocks concert.

Before the age of 20, The Big Hash had shared stages with the likes of Post Malone and Meek Mill. His collaborations include acts like A-Reece, Riky Rick, Nasty C, Anatii, Sho Madjozi, Kwesta and Emtee amongst others.
